First Woman to Enter Combine

Lauren Silberman maybe set to become the NFL’s first female kicker.

This weekend during the scouting combine for the NFL. Lauren, who is a 28 year old former club soccer player at the University of Wisconsin, has entered the draft to become a kicker. Even though it is being reported that Lauren has never kicked a football. She was hoping more women will follow her lead to tryout since the 2012 rule was established to allow woman to play this “man’s” game.

If she does well in the combine she will head to Dallas in April for the super-regional. Lauren said “the opportunity to attend this event could not be more exciting. Getting interesting people and perfect my technique from others could not be more rewarding.”

I guess the hit song “Who run the World, Girls” is becoming more apparent as females are breaking though men territory to also take part in what they want to do.

Whether Lauren makes it or not, this is the first step that many shall follow. If you want to do it JUST DO IT!
