Shelle Knows: Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union Get Married With Some Rules And Regulations

Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade will have their wedding on Lock down. If you were invited to join the couple in their joining of holy matrimony On Saturday August 30 in South Florida. The guest will sign waivers and conform to rules and regulations when attending this wedding.

TMZ obtained a copy of the confidentiality agreement that D-Wade and Union have asked guests, vendors, caterers and anyone else attending the wedding to sign before being allowed on the premises.

There will also be no cell phones or cameras allowed, so don’t expect any live-tweeting or selfies during the ceremony. Guests have been asked to meet at an upscale hotel in South Florida to be transported to an undisclosed venue. Anyone who signs the agreement and fails to cooperate is subject to a hefty cash fine.

I understand the lengths that celebrities go through to have some privacy but I feel like if you want a private ceremony. Then just have an interment setting with a few guests. Me being a regular joe I wouldn’t mind my wedding being exploited because It’s a day of love I would be celebrating but I guess there is some things that they want to keep secret. This is nothing new as many celebrities do this. It is up to you as the guest if you will attend.

As a guest to the wedding I am sure they feel honored to be able to celebrate this wonderful day with them but who wants to be held at their will to a secret location without communication to their families. I hope there isn’t any emergencies that one may face while they are being held hostage at a wedding.

I see where they do not want the distraction of people’s actions so sometimes you have to take extreme measures to have the peaceful day that you want.

Shelle Knows: USC Cornerback Josh Shaw Is A Liar

USC Cornerback, Josh Shaw

Southern California cornerback, Josh Shaw, suffered from an ankle injury. He told his team and coach that he injured himself because he jumped from the 3rd floor window to save his nephew from drowning. Social media got hold of the story and labeled him as a hero.

The story sounded very brave and heroic and everyone commended him for risking his life to save his nephews life. Well that was until this story came out to be false!

Shaw has admitted to lying to school officials about how he sprained his ankles last weekend, retracting his story about jumping off a balcony to save his drowning nephew.

“We are extremely disappointed in Josh,” USC coach Steve Sarkisian said. “He let us all down. As I have said, nothing in his background led us to doubt him when he told us of his injuries, nor did anything after our initial vetting of his story.”

Shaw has been suspended indefinitely from all of the Trojans’ team activities after acknowledging his heroic tale was “a complete fabrication,” the school announced in a statement Wednesday.

Shaw has issued a short statement through his attorney on Wednesday after being suspended apologizing.

“On Saturday, August 23, 2014, I injured myself in a fall,” Shaw said. “I made up a story about this fall that was untrue. I was wrong not to tell the truth. I apologize to USC for this action on my part. My USC coaches, the USC athletic department and especially Coach Sarkisian have all been supportive of me during my college career and for that, I am very grateful.”

It is being investigated as to where the lie stemmed from. It was reported that Shaw may have been a suspect of a robbery that took place at where his girlfriend lives on that same day he was injured. The description that was given to police is said to fit Shaw’s as he was seen scaling down the wall after hearing loud screams.

This story is still developing.

Not that lying was already wrong, but to tell this large of a tale is what really turned the spotlight on him.

I am sure he learned his lesson now

Shelle Knows: Cleveland Browns WR Josh Gordon Is Suspened For A Year

Browns WR Josh Gordon

The Cleveland browns lose there star wide receiver Josh Gordon for the 2014 season due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy. I’m not sure why NFL players feel like the rules do not apply to them but using any drug will hurt your career no matter if you are a star or not if you did not know.

The Browns have been waiting four months for a resolution on Gordon’s case. The 23-year-old led the league with 1,646 yards receiving last season despite being suspended the first two games for a failed drug test. He became the first player in league history to record consecutive 200-yard games.

Gordon’s suspension is effective immediately and he will miss the entire 2014 season. He will have to apply for reinstatement following the season. Gordon was also suspended previously for two games this past season. Gordon released this statement:

“I’d like to apologize to my teammates, coaches, the Cleveland Browns organization and our fans. I am very disappointed that the NFL and its hearing office didn’t exercise better discretion and judgment in my case. I would like to sincerely thank the people who have been incredibly supportive of me during this challenging time, including my family, my agent, my union, my legal team, and the Cleveland Browns staff.”

The NFL also released a statement, saying:

“Appeals officer Harold Henderson has upheld the suspension for the 2014 NFL season of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. The suspension is effective immediately. Gordon’s eligibility for reinstatement will be determined following the 2014 season.”

I had high hopes for a winning season for the Browns but after seeing the flaws in the QB’s and the suspension of their star WR, this could mean another short season for them.

Shelle Knows: The NFL Has Gone Soft

Is football still a sport? Honestly with the changes that have been made in the past couple of years the game of football has basically turned into flag football. There have been rule changes in regards to hitting but they have also changed the celebration rules.

I understand in some matters that you have to instill rules to protect the players physically but to take away the celebration moves from the game is ridiculous. The point of removing select motions is to prevent a player from taunting one another and delay of game. Seriously if you are playing a game of football and your feelings get hurt because someone celebrated then this sport is not for you.

Football used to be the toughest, hard hitting sport that only a manly man could play. Now I think a little league softball game may be tougher. At least a player can take a hit by a ball without being fined. Where as in the NFL is a player turns to hit the wrong way the NFL will fine you half their pay and or suspend the player.

It is just frustrating watching a game at a professional level and we see more yellow flags thrown than bodies.

I can imagine how frustrating it is to a player that worked his whole life to learn how to hit hard and tackle to become afraid to hit a player in fear of being fined for what he was trained to do in the first place. I say the NFL needs to stop being so money hungry and let the game of football go back to its original domain.

Football is no longer entertaining mainly because of the unsportsmanlike conduct rule.  Everyone likes to see players get excited when they have made a great play or scored a touchdown. Now it is more like strictly business on the football field than actually having fun.

Below you can read the new rule for this season.

Shelle Knows: Steelers Running Backs Charge With Possession Of Marijuana

LeGarrette Blount

LeGarrette Blount and Le’Veon Bell

Let’s all imagine we are a Steelers player who is active on the roster making millions of dollars. Would you decide to take the risk to smoke marijuana two hours before you had to catch a flight to your job?

Well I guess two of the Steelers running backs did not see the harm in that until they got caught. Yes, two hours before the two running backs, Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were to board the flight to Philadelphia, they were pulled over because the officer smelled weed coming from the car. Both were arrested for possession but Bell was also charge with a DUI. There was a female companion in the car as well but no one really cares what happened to her because she isn’t a multi-millionaire who plays for the Steelers.

So moving on.

Since Bell was charged with a DUI as well he missed the chartered flight to Philadelphia and provided his own transportation to Philadelphia.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin met with the players Thursday morning as he decided how to proceed, and a source says that it will be “business as usual” for Bell and Blount because the Steelers have a lot to work on offensively.

We could go back and forth and argue it is just weed but let’s not forget that the substance is still illegal. Remember, the Steelers traded Santonio Holmes who caught the Super Bowl winning touchdown because of marijuana found in his system. So, I am sure Bell and Blount are scared for what may happen to them even though no actions have been taken as of now. The choice to either smoke an illegal substance or risk losing your job is not a hard decision no matter how much you make.

The choice is yours fellas.

Shelle Knows: Browns Chooses QB

Browns have picked Brian Hoyer to start as the Quarterback for the 2014 NFL season.  The Cleveland Browns chose Hoyer over Johnny Manziel based up leadership skills and readiness. I am sure that Manziel poor performance and lack of good judgment helped the coaching staff make this decision a little easier.  Browns announced their selection via twitter as seen below.
